Surpac String Models
You add a GEOVIA Surpac string model to a scenario in GEOVIA MineSched by clicking Add in the Models pane. The types of string models you can choose are:
- point centroid models for production scheduling
- polygon models for development scheduling
The fields available on the Model Detail pane change depending on the type of model you have added.
Tip: If any of the data required for the string model is not available in the model you want to use, you can populate the data into description fields using the STRING MATHS function in GEOVIA Surpac.
Fields on the Model Detail Pane for Point Centroid String Models
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name |
The name by which you refer to the model in MineSched. The name is automatically populated from the file name. If you want to change the name, type a new name in this field.
|
| File name | Automatically populated with the file location of the string model you added. |
| Material d-field | The description field of the string in which the material class is stored. |
| Mass d-field | The description field of the string in which the mass values are stored. |
| Volume d-field | The description field of the string in which the volume values are stored. |
| Volume adjustment d-field |
The description field of the string in which the volume adjustment factor is stored. The Volume adjustment d-field is optional, you can leave it blank. |
Fields on the Model Detail Pane for Polygon String Models
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Name |
The name by which you refer to the model in MineSched. The name is automatically populated from the file name. If you want to change the name, type a new name in this field.
|
| File name | Automatically populated with the file location of the string model you added. |
| Material d-field | The description field of the string in which the material class is stored. |
| Height d-field | The description field of the string in which the height values are stored. |
| Volume adjustment d-field | The description field of the string in which the volume adjustment factor is stored. The Volume adjustment d-field is optional, you can leave it blank. |
| Specific gravity | |
| Method |
The method you want to use to calculate the specific gravity, or density, of each block in the block model. The specific gravity is used to calculate the mass of each block.
|
| Constant | The value for the specific gravity for all blocks in the block model. |
| Density d-field | The description field of the string in which the density values are stored. |
